A Sweet Treat with a Side of Parking Woes
Nestled in the charming Topanga Village, SusieCakes is a bakery that offers a delightful assortment of sweets, from cakes to cookies and more. With its vibrant decor and friendly staff, this bakery creates a welcoming atmosphere that invites customers to indulge in their sweet tooth.
I recently visited SusieCakes and decided to try a flourless cupcake while my son opted for a ghost cookie. While the cupcake was undeniably sweet, I found it to be overly dense and lacking the lightness I prefer in a cupcake. However, my son thoroughly enjoyed his cookie, praising its perfect texture and ideal level of sweetness.
The bakery’s decorations are truly captivating, adding a touch of whimsy and charm to the overall experience. The staff is friendly and helpful, eager to assist customers in finding the perfect treat.
While the cupcakes and cookies are reasonably priced, the cost of wholecakes may be higher. It’s worth noting that the bakery wasn’t crowded during my visit, making it a pleasant experience. However, parking can be a challenge, as the lot is limited and requires paid parking. To pay for parking, you’ll need to scan a QR code located on the posts throughout the parking lot.
Overall, my visit to SusieCakes was enjoyable, and I can see myself returning in the future. While the cupcakes may not have been my personal favorite, the bakery’s inviting atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious cookies make it a worthwhile destination for those with a sweet tooth.
